for reference, i can get ~15-17 mill NW running an all-x, 0 military, 0 retal country with less than 10K acres, and you are happy with 11mill NW on 19K acres. do yourself a favor, and start listening to other people. you will get a lot beter at this game once you stop telling everyone who has played this game for years that they are wrong. you are the one who is asking the questions. either take the advice, or stop asking.

i have t10s in every server except alliance, got an 11th there, and im not even primarily a netter.

you have to stock, and then calculate your destock. destocking off the PM is generally best if you have military tech, and the unit replenishment rate is as follows

3 troops
2.5 jets
2.5 turrets
1 tank

per turn, per acre. so if someone has 10K acres, their PM gains 30,000 troops, 25000 jets and turrets, and 10K tanks every time a turn is given, so every 4 minutes. you can use this formula to find out how much cash you can spend in x amount of time left in the set.

there is also PM unit decay with the tick of every turn, so when you are destocking make sure the units you are buying are empty every turn. most people log out for a day or so to let their PM build up, so they can make a large initial purchase with their stock, and then calc the PM regen rate and how much cash they can spend on their PM the rest of the set

you can see where timing and acurate calculations come into play, and why more land is beneficial, it means your private market replenishes faster.


that is some basics on how to calc your destock. factors including

how much stock you have
how much land you have
how many turns are left in the set
what your private market prices are (dependant on building makeup, tech %, and government type)
and your overall destock plans. (straight destock, early destock with reselling, etc)


as you can see, the game is a bit more complicated than some make it out to be. and wether im an ass or not, i know what the fluff im talking about, generally. every single country, turn, and set are different. thee are general principals that govern this game, but one answer will not always be corect. it is highly situational. this is where Celphi is having problems.

So in the PM, no matter your tech or whatever, best NW/$ is always in this order

Period. Some people just destock to troops and tanks, others stock for an extra couple hundred turns and destock through all of them, trading inefficiency for more stock.

It is however you want to play and calc it.

Maxing mil tech is always a good thing for destocking. Some go so far as to switch governments to demo for the tech bonus and market bonus for reselling. I don't know how popular a TMBR is on this server but it requires converting buildings as well.

Obviously the general goal is to get the most stock possible while leaving time to exchange that stock for the best NW/$ ratio. However you think the best way to do that.

How do you think techers stock and made a last minute jump Mrford?

techers sell tech all set, and buy fod from the profit. at the end of the set they sell all that food, and buy off their private market?

some might switch to demo, if they arnt demo already

some might convert their labs to military bases half way through the set and resell troops they buy for $90 for $130

He stocked 500k spies and bought 900k+ tanks to do it. (I've yet to see anyone with 500k+ spies on xpress)

Celphie...you can check my past countries but I keep close to 500k spies each round in express.

darn it.. got 11 YET AGAIN.. I am no top 10 material. :/

When is the best time to stock up on spies? I know I stole a ton of money from you with 200k spies earlier in the set. Also, is it better to sell the spies during the non-combat time (last two hrs of set)?

Celphi, if you're intention is to get a top 10 country like you've stated.

You'll *likely* never do it as a Dict, especially with your current strategy. I know you're not a fan of mrford or his attitude but he happens to be right about the strategy not working.

I'd suggest focusing less on that land total, and more about optimization in other aspects of the game. It's quite easy to get ~20m with an all-explore Rep Casher these days. It would be much less work too.

I got just over 20m on my farmer and I destocked terribly (never done it before, had only ~30k military tech and bought military from public too early).

Thanks for the feedback. I do want to make top 10, but as a dictator. To me, it wouldn't seem that gratifying to make top 10 as a R/D/H. I'm certainly not taking away that achievement. It's just my goal. I know primary is vastly different from express, but I noticed a player name Oldman made #1 as a dictator farmer. Any ideas how he did it?

I will take your advice on focusing on developing a smaller amount of land. I get the consensus that my tech levels are way too low (and should be maximized) before expanding my land. I will focus on that. Thanks again.
