Prices are low to start, then tend to spike Thurs/Fri, and crash Sat. By Sunday prices tend to go up again owing to lack of supply, but as a techer, you'd probably be selling at $1k to clear your tech ASAP.

Anecdotally I felt the tech market the previous set was worse than last set.

If you're returning after a while, you'll be glad to know most strats are playable in Express now. Easiest to finish high are Fasc Farmer and Commie Indy. Next is techer (Theo, Demo, Tyr), and it's set dependent. Theo Casher has also done well on this server (Rep to a lower extent, though our last winner was a rep cash!).

Those are probably the most popular.

In express, the oil destock isn't really great. Prob best to theo destock late, or demo destock off public early.

He talks about going 8:1 jets turrets, but his last express country was like 100k turrets and 10m jets or something silly like that, and only grabbing humans in a bot server. lol Glad he's getting his arse handed to him on every server.

Generally, you'd want to put max tech in market before changing govs, then recall the tech. Buy enough beforehand and assume you'd lose whatever % you'd lose on the tech that you can't put on market.

I assume you're doing the whatever gov->monarchy-->Theo destock.

I think in general, if you're trying to suicide the winning country, you're supposed to prevent the win.
You tried pretty hard on your all jetter... and even then you failed. Bummer!
Must be painful losing 400k jets per hit (you carried almost no defence), still not stopping the win, and getting yourself killed.

Hmm do we know if anyone has successfully.. single handedly manipulated/controlled the primary market as a large demo? Just curious if anyone has done it successfully.

When I first rejoined primary couple of sets, I think I played a 3k acre demo techer (just to look at the market) and did push food to over $100 for like 5 days or something (felt like it barely took 2b to buy up all the food?), but couldn't really sustain it. (I think everyone started building farms once they overflowed turns?)

I'm pretty sure when I first got hit I had 4m turrets, and the person who hit me had 6m jets and no defence. LOL

In general, in Express, no matter how much defence you keep, a motivated all-jetter will always break you. Suiciders aren't looking to do anything with the land, that's why so many of them have no defence.

When you say "theo casher is way less efficient at the end set", did you take into account the cheaper PM military for destock? (Given that the standard casher destock on this server is to just buy troops/tanks on PM.)

3-5% less efficient is a lot closer than expected. I feel like I might be able to extract that value from the market. (Does saving 6% commissions all set mean I get that 3-5% back?)

It's a 5 day set, and everyone is trying to independently kill the same 2 folks who's 10-tapping everyone. You've not actually considered what 'no collaboration' looks like - it would look exactly like how this played out. Most people just play when they can login, and in a 5-day set, a lot of folks tend to login every day, sometimes multiple times a day.

You can't coordinate a KR on this server because everyone is in GDI. Only people who have GDI broken on them can even KR as a retal, and if you happened to 10-tap 10 people, that's 10 people who are gonna login to KR you on a 360(360) turn server.

You can, however, coordinate 10-tapping the entire server, because 10-tapping goes through GDI. You have to expect the KR though - too easy on this server!

Both TwoPodRay and I are unable to play the latter half of this set, so we decided we'd both do a 1000 turn challenge between us.

Anyone who wants to join in feel free!

Essentially, we're playing for highest NW only spending 1000 turns, and by Thursday night (i.e., not turn delayed and play 1000 turns on Sunday).

That's all. We can't agree on the best strat for this either. Fun!

The last 2 sets have definitely been low finishes. I played very.. suboptimal countries and managed to come out on top. lol This was my first set playing a higher acreage tyr techer on this server (I ran KRBN).

Generally, I think we've seen Indy Farmer Techer on 80m+ nw, but not Casher yet.

In general, if you manage to get to 50-60k acres around turn 1400ish, then do a theo destock, you're probably in the 80m vicinity. Indy is probably the most involved of the strats, given the optimal play involves playing most of your turns on Sunday when military prices are high.
