[BUG] Express grabbing/attacking broken

It's completely haywire.

I can't spy or grab the guy 1 rank above me in scores or 1 rank below me.

"GDI authority will not let you attack this opponent!"

NW difference is like 40k..

In fact, the only guys I can grab or spy, are those who have "broken" GDI against me.

erh, I think Iraq was legal for Bush - he just used the wrong reasons. Peace treaty after the Kuwait war set terms and conditions, Hussein didnt follow terms and conditions - treaty void, hence state of war is the legal state of matters

hence how could it be illegal?

But hippies will argue otherwise.

Donät think there's anyway Syria will be legal - maybe the UN charter about genocide?
But legal schmegal! The NSA is spying you and its totally illegal and nothing is done about it.

Can you or can you not unsticky last resets war stats and sticky this resets warstats thread?
Or are you just limited to moderating the various games/other forums but not this one?

hmm. GDI breaks the game mechanics, allowing for no tanks, troops or SDI like Xin there stated.

What if..
For every SS/PS the retaller could to the same amount use any attack type? ie 1 PS - could be retalled with 1 AB or 1 nuke?

It would prevent "top players" from being suicided on, but would also force them to play with tanks, troops, and SDI
fixing that problem.

It would also make the "top players" accountable for their actions - which is what LATC gets at above. In quite a rant, I must say. Not at all helping the conversation or making this person who joined on July 19, 2013 feel like this is an online community worth delving into.

Primary was supposed to be the place new members are encouraged to start at - in actual fact alliance is much better. Sure you get farmed, but get smart enough to join a tag is sorta like the iq test you just have to pass.

I think a lot of people in this thread really needs to look in the mirror and read their posts again. Did I contribute? Was I just a pank? Somewhere after the 5th post here this thread goes off track and just disgusts me so much I dont even want to read those posts.

*nod* surfers look like turtles, legs dangling outside the board while waiting for a wave = turtle in the sharks mind.
Turtle = t- bone steak, yummy!

Diver, swimmer is a stranger to the shark, not autmatically food. So basically safe, unless they smell blood

I reckon the worst beach for great whites wuld be outside Durban, South Africa. Especially during the sardine run. It gets so baad the beaches are all closed for a couple of weeks

Atryn, in 98 when MD was this noname alliance I remember partying with Josie, his roommate Dannin, Tafkas and maybe Jer Bu in the MD mud?
Trying to figure out what it was like, why people mudded, how did it work etc. We were clueless, but there was 5 of us assaulting the newbie cave so we had success! :D

Via that mud we got friendly with Samoan and that lot and next thing you knew a Rockfamily member was attacking Rock in defence of md.

this is a pain for the person who plays from their iPad at the breakfast table, laptop when you have time to fully use the various tools (eestats, boxcar etc) and mobile when you just want to finish your jump in 1a (logging in at specific time intervals).
typing the captcha 3x a day is not a nice user experience.

Cell phone tech? App?

Its called Bluetooth, it was invented in the pre-iPhone era by a wacky company called Ericsson. Apple and Google should have paid FRAND patent monies for it and this could be found in both handsets - should be all.
Unless Apple and Google suffer from the "not invented here" disease, that most american companies tend to suffer from..

Hmm, dunno if the iPad has bluetooth, but it should. Even my car has bluetooth, but Apple has ignored standards before (see European requirement for micro-usb chargers)

(whacky tidbit) the guy who invented customizable ringtones works for Microsoft, yet when they rebooted Windows Mobile into Windows Phone it lacked the option to customise ringtones

and that kiddies, is why you should buy a Nokia as your next handset. Great hardware, substandard software - good enough.

Xin - I didn't compare Earth to Risk.

Your best make up maybe 20 guys on Primary, 60 guys on alliance. Look back at those primary threads - you guys are predicting end results alarmingly early.
Why? Because GDI protects you from random suicides, like a big tag protects you in alliance. Running a 0 tanks/0 sdi country and grabbing everyone once shouldn't be rewarded. This is a competitive game.

Over the course of a reset the likelyhood of good and bad random events occurring to you and your chief combatant for #1 are even - if neither of you get hit by earthquakes..
does the guy who finishes second complain about spy ops?
failing his spy op 3 times on landgrab target #17 on the 4th week of the reset?
the fact that the one sunday was mother's day and he couldn't login until 24hrs had past and not 18?

You know, just like competitive sports with referees. Losers blame the ref. The streaker, who broke their rhytm. The floodlights that turned off and put an extra 30 minute delay into the game. The torrential rain that hit with 15 minutes to go.
The fact that their star player had a thigh strain after they had used all of their substitutes.
That Suzie the waitress poisoned their food the night before the game.

Random events have a significant role in competitive sports, even in computer games or chess.
How do you the guy on the other side of the table doesn't have a huge need to pee but decides to press on as the games about to end? But it affects his concentration.

If supposedly the gap between #1 and #2 is this small.
Then might as well have something worth blaming for it, instead of the loud minority complaining about it on every forum but them always being the same 20 guys.

There's a reason why its called the silent majority.

The 20-30 people who compete for the win complain about it.
The couple of hundred who don't even stock but play right to the end don't - it's one of those nitty gritty things that make the game interesting.
Yes earthquakes suck, but booms rule, random explore gains..

whatever breaks the monotony of playing turns like a robot makes the game more interesting.

I can't remember tha name of the shareware game I used to play. But it had 7-26 star systems you had to conquer, each star had x number of planets (you could build more, or destroy them) and you could play against 1 or multiple computer opponents.

Just like Risk, it would take hours to finish. But it had a feature called random events, that made it harder. Because you couldn't be sure your attacking fleet would make star system N or whatever it was that was on the other side of the screen without getting hit by a random event that caused it to get lost or off track..

And once you were good at the game, you had to have random events at max to make it challenging so you wouldn't beat the computer as easily every time.

That's why in the summer of 1999 when Mehul had his chat to develop earth 2025 I suggested random events to him, both good and bad. And he and the others in the chat liked it.

That's why we have earthquakes

Get the Ford Focus. I've had two, a 2004 and now have a 2011 and no problems whatsoever. I'd classify the 2004 focus as the best car I've ever bought as I've had it for years and no problems whatsoever.

Before those had a Jetta and a Civic and those were in the repair shop at least twice a year.

Big thumbs up for Ford quality, at least those built in Europe (tho I think my 2011 was built in Russia..). And driving one is an enjoyment.

But thats his argument isn't it? Congress had asked NSA, what are you guys doing. And they said nothing.
So Eddy decides that the congress, the general public both in the US and outside must know and have a say in it.
He is a criminal in overstepping - spamming that material out to every congressman/senator should have been enough.

But a patriot is a man who stands up and tries to fix the wrongs in his country. So patriot yes, but must take his punishment.

Right now every data assurance agreement, such as the US-EU Safe Harbour agreements are invalid. And that's big - the EU parliament wants the fine for breaching that agreement to be 2% of a companies annual worldwide turnover.
To put that into perspective, Microsoft's annual turnover of 16 billion would result in a fine of 320 million.

Yes but how many don't have a vpn?
But he's not using a server, rather something like logmein - or the built in remote connection in Windows (system properties, remote)

Because if he's using a server it's in logs, and someone would be wondering WTF is going on with multiple RDP sessions for no apparent reason to strange ip's. That stinks like hacking or corporate espionage..

This technology works by you connecting from somewhere, to a box - presumably that of the country being babysat, and opening ie/chrome/firefox and logging in to that persons country while they are sleeping.
