Lucifer - 95% of any major corporation listed on the fortune 500 has RDP configured to work. Scratch that, 100%.

Legacy POS (piece of, not point of) software they need to make sure works on the CEO's iPad.. their it guys need to login to manage servers..

Aish, they'll even have permanently open sites - for tunneling to a customers/partners systems etc.

But any random IT guy who uses his company servers to login to a home users Windows XP Home box on the other side of the world..

helloo - you'd raise so many red flags security will throw you out.

so it must be an it guy from a mom and pop shop. Who doesn't report to anyone.

Never say never, or at least put it into context.
The LaF of old systematically FA'ed Ronnie and his multies into 1st place.

You mean never in earth empires? There I could believe you, but in e2025 that's the best joke I've ever heard.

If you look at gamer profiles, you see that the recent ones have a player number past 20 000. And there's what, 1000 playing now tops?
Export the raw data of those who arent playing into excel, what did they play, how did they do? Were they noobs who got whacked hard?
Were they vets who got tired?
Lets then try to find fixes for the cause as a community, how can we make it more noob friendly or less consuming for vets? Or whatever else reasons we come to from analysong that raw (anonymous) non-playing data.

Now for that 20 000 inactive base, you have an email contact. once we've thought of compelling fixes, changes, an email to all of them from ee.

Damnit, all you need is one statistics student who's looking for a thesis subject etc to do an analysis for this game.

Actually, try orienteering. If you're like me, you get bored quickly when out on a run. And that eats away at your motivation and then you stop running..

But orienteering, that's cool! Basically it's cross-country running, but with your brain involved as you have to figure out where to go to and what route to take. It also involves an element of fear, when you get partially lost, and an element of cheating - when you see everyone else running into one spot : it must be the right spot!

It's absolutely brilliant!

yup. Otherwise it becomes too blurred as to what is a grabbing pact between friends - and what is a will retal.
Imho to a will retal it's ok to try and outrun the retal. It's the whole point of the game.

But to friends, it cheeses me off if I must sell turrets and convert to a jetter to retal your guy. That's just not cricket. And all of a sudden I don't see you as good of a friend as before.

WTF? Those aren't even colours.

Vic, if you don't know who I am - you my dear, are a noob.

AT was not up earlier than I recall, it is exactly as I recall sometime autumn, early winter 1998 AT was created.

Were you even born then?

Hmm, if I remember correctly..

Originally we didn't have Alliance Talk, we just had general talk - and myself and Elisha Gerber spammed that the most.
One day with Josie and somebody else, we had a bright idea of spamming all other forums with Alliance related talk.
Including Utopia forums..

The Mods (named Mod #1, Mod #2 etc) threw a hissy fit and the next day Mehul gave us Alliance Talk.

I think the first time I quit this game was in 2002..
That list is from 2002, there's a bunch of nobodies there.

Where's Gramberto? Don Giovanni? Not a single Mr? Ronnie? Viper? ACCI? Sneaky Fish? Nicety of HAN?

Hate to shoot down a list from 2004, but I think that's more indicative of people Eclisod chatted with than anything else.

Regards, I think I got a lifetime achievement award once, not sure. Or something eerily similar.
