You should ramp it up. Max 80/80 for week one & two, Max 100/80 for week three, max 120/120 for week four
That way you add an element of - how long to wait before surprise FS'ing the other guy, do it earlier and you have less of an advantage -> day 10 wars become day 15, day 14 wars become day 21

TIE is at least as old as The Omega, as I played in TIE during Omega's first reset. It was hosted on the same site with Inferno's kid's little league team - DeIMP aka cyref recruited me to TIE. So I reckon TIE must be a reset older too - tho no idea how many sets they've missed in between..

SoF broke off in the warchat in which we hit Tiger, The Omega was a mess that reset while building a new website after having been kicked off rockfamily, I drew up the attack list with Iori Yagami, set the warchat time sometime into the night for our US members to run it, and sent the data to Helmet and Homer S iirc.
Next morning I logged in to see that Helmet's group had broken off during that warchat - so I'd kinda count the Tiger reset as SoF's birth, while the "first" reset was the test "branded" as SoF. I think tags were introduced then too.

Until then you just tagged with Don or Alpha in your country name. And drew whatever policy you could enforce (TGA 8-1 retal as they didnt grab (Danger should implement that)). I think the policy for Don's was a Dom could grab you once or twice, but you couldn't grab a Don. That eventually resulted in the Hunt for Don Gramberto.. (they should make a movie of that)

I'm sort of disappointed that if they went with the Don theme - why didn't anybody name their country Don Gramberto?

SoL existed before The Omega, so they must be us+1 at the very minimum. Same with LaF, though they could be 92?
SoF broke off in The Omega's 4th reset, but I think they would count that as one..

1) formation, war against RoCK, war with RoCK & Rockfamily vs Don Gramberto led LaF
2) war with RoCK as a part of Rockfamily against LaF
3) war against RoCK with MD (WW3)
4) Tiger reset, SoF splits off in the warchat during the Omega's FS

I remembered resets 1 and 2 as being the same, which is where my error was, so SoF had they played every reset would be 86/87 resets old depending on where you start counting.

Sol and laf would be in their 91st resets if they havent missed any. Thats why SoF is only at 80, whilst otherwise theyd be about 88 now..

GDI is special in Primary and Express - you must join it before making an attack, if you've done one its impossible
once you join it, nobody can hit you with a missile, br or ab unless you double tap them
gdi does not protect you from bottomfeeding in primary (no 50% rule)

they really should write the differences up somewhat bigger as it can be imposible to find unless you actually read the small print on the gdi page

Pang - create a smaller server. Teaching server.

Eg - Teaching server, newbies come along and sign up for the teaching reset, say a 1,5week reset so they get to grips with it. Several teachers volunteer, say alliance heads, or vets. New decides strat before starting
Each teacher manages say 5 newbies - sorted by prechosen strat. Get's them to ingame ally each other (so newb makes friends) and they learn how to ally, teacher then teaches them a normal 100-turn start, importance of CS and whatnot, in the 1,5weeks they go up the normal first explore jump etc. They even even try a grab, and sell stuff on the market.

Newbies can send ingame question to their teacher about anything, teacher can see the country as if it was his or her own but cant do anything, teacher can read messages the news send to each other. (Teaching to be polite and not crude is also important)

*shrug* that's what they do on playdiplomacy.com and imo its a great way of getting into the game and how the site for the game works.

After the 1,5weeks the teacher has "first dibs" so to speak on getting these newbs to join his or her alliance because hes helped them. Newb can choose to/is encouraged to repeat experience with a different strat etc

do this and wait x hrs sounds like Clash of Clans to me.. $2,5mil profit per day. No idea how many players but tons!

iScode - maybe folks managed to guess your country other ways? Maybe someone recognized your writing style? It's not unheard of, there's quite a few players who's countries I could identify from their playing style, grabbing style, times etc.

let me know when you get up to a decent size and have folks who could donate good stuff - lvl 80+ here

Think about it, clash of Clans for example is based on the exact same premise. You have an attack force and a defence force, resources you gather and resources you acquire by attack
But competing head to head with something as entrenched as that (millions of players, hundreds of servers) is impossible, so a niche product is needed

text based, fast/easy to play - doesnt take much of your bandwidth etc - that'd be worth investigating

why don't you ask Zuul to link his moral.dk site to have a login to boxcar?

The european teams look tired. South Americans mostly had a long season as well (ie. champions league) but imo its impacted them less + get more cheer from local fans.. I'm gonna put my money on Argentina. Brazil don't convince me.

B uses 37 KW/h more than A, a monitor is typically on (for a geek) like 7hrs a day..
7hrs * 365 = KWH/year
KHW/year * cost of electricity = extra cost of B

I'm wagering inside a month, two months, the usage cost of B has has cost you more than 2 of monitors A

tl;dr - A is like a jet/turret. B is a tank. A is the better choice

after some sussing it out, I think the new which game is where layout does make more sense.

However, the dark look of it all does seem to be a bit out of place. I considered how it'd be with the ad banner at the bottom, but they of course want it on top. So what would help it distinguish itself and the different options (which game) stand out (grey on black?)
I don't know, I'd toss it on 99designs.com and say give me a lighter fresher more modern look for a hobbyist game and absolute minimum reward and see what kind of options you get. (Reject all of them so you get the money back) - but use it as a means of getting another opinion on how it could look like with say a green background and bright yellow and pink flowers all over the place ;)

edit: the bonus things seems to claim you have a bonus now, refesh and it shows that you have to wait for 5hrs more. Maybe a CSS bug? Something similar to the buttons disappearing from middle click when you scroll down but reappearing when you scroll up.

/me has wanted to war LaF ever since the LaF-Omega 1:1 war got cut short due to pansy netgainers wanting to netgain for the rest of the reset the reset before WW3
