That game was really fun, tbh. Very outside the box and enjoyable.

Nothing like having little kids kick your ass in the beginning of a round, only to consume their entire family later on.

It sounds interesting, but I do have to mention a 50% split on the Commie market "bonus" would make it 8% ;p

I also like the idea of being able to choose your bonuses, but that may be a bit complicated. You'd also have to add them to a new spy op, or add to an existing one- Otherwise you'd never know someone's got, say, a 25% boost to their military strength. That would be just plain fluffty.

I think Shogun wins here. I don't believe anyone else answered with a person. Everyone else was busy slinging mud towards various alliances, when in fact we were looking for a who, not a what. Or something ;p

- They might stop feeling so sh*tty and become more able and look for better jobs. Then who's going to do the sh*t jobs.

Better to let them feed themselves junk food. It's way cheaper unless you're a very good shopper. The fatter more incapable they get the faster they die. It's unspoken, but it's survival of the richest.

The US FDA is just a huge conflict of interest. It's about $ not food safety. They just need to push the boundaries of safety enough so that it doesn't make the news and scare people.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it ironic that the closest thing to a pro-junkfood post in this thread came from a guy named oats?

Aside from my fluff comment two posts back, I'd really just like to say that, truly, the better alliance is the one that wholly drops stupid fluff like this first.

Not just the whole "but we dont say XYZ..." I mean, dropping even that. Just don't give recognition to the crap people say, and they'll get bored of it. It may not solve everything, but it's a great way to start.

I might actually read this forum more often, too.

Hey, all I have to say is that this is probably my fourth semi-legitimate netting set in ~4 years playing, and I managed to achieve $50m better than my previous best.

I don't expect to stay t10 through the end of the set, but damn it's been surprising to be there at all :P

I remeber bringing this up a year or so ago. One of the finer points somewhat against it was that we (as the Earth Empires community) would lose out on so much voting, which then increases the chances we snag a new player or two from time to time.

So, I would amend my suggestion-

Award patron status as a small recurring donation, which would auto-give you bonus points as they would normally be available (22- and 24-hour increments, with no delay). However, on your forum account, you'd have "patron points." You gain one point at any time you have patron status, but voted anyway. The points do nothing whatsoever ingame, but show how totally awesome you are here in the forums. Bragging rights plus the twofold ability to show you care about the game's success is win.

And it's not points, at least not for Alliance. It's raw turns.

When a policy is drafted, there's always a legal definition n policy intent. Yes, sometimes lawyers r overpaid n the legal definition doesn't always serve the purpose of the policy intent, but at least they try to draft the legal doc as close to our policy intent as possible. We dun draft the legal doc in certain way just to mislead people into a false sense of security..

I feel that if u r an honorable clan n if u sign a pact becoz u want peace with a certain alliance, the terms of the pact is the most impt thing. What is impt is whether u signed the pact with the intention of keepin it, or just to get a temp ceasefire so u can fluff the other side up by blindsiding them later. I mean I rem last time when Clan A does smtg wrong that is not to Clan B's interest, Clan B will protest n try to talk things out. Finding a small clause (whether it is even there or not is another matter altogether) to void pacts every set is just not the way things should be.

I miss the days when allies are just allies, u defend them when they r blindsided n need help, just like how u would help a friend in real life. U dun go thru a 100 page documents just to see if u should n could help a friend in need right? If u wanna sign an uNaP, then honor it. I mean it's just a game, I really dont want to see people acting like lawyers n detectives n searching thru logs n arguing over technical details. I have enough of that at work seriously....

Coming from a government policymaker, this wall'o'text downright distressed me.

So qz you're saying, essentially, we will become enslaved by machines? Granted it's much less spectacular than always normally imagined, but nonetheless, we'd still be stuck servicing them to ensure that our lifestyles are maintained.

First off, let me say that I'm definitely an advocate for free stuff. I had pirated many things in my day, and bought physical copies of many pirated movies/albums/etc after doing so, if no other reason than to support something that was well-enjoyed.

I've always felt that one of the issues with piracy, or rather, anti-piracy, is in their incomprehensibly high fines they pass out to those they choose to catch. fluff like them finding some unemployed student in a dorm room, and try to slap him with what amounts to millions, if not tens or hundreds of millions of dollars worth of fines. To pretty much anyone, these numbers are just so unrealistic that they just don't care.

I was very closely involved with Napster when it was first produced, and helped as I could throughout the whole legal trouble. At one point, if I recall correctly, the RIAA tried suing the company for the equivalent of somewhere around a trillion dollars in fines. Who the fluff would even bat an eye when they're told that's their fine? Not me- it's completely unrealistic.

What I would suggest to the various companies "losing out" due to piracy, is to drop their fines. We catch you stealing an album? $15. An HD movie? $30. Et cetera.

If people started getting bills in the mail for $200 because they got caught torrenting a discography, they may actually reconsider their actions.
